You are advised to take a number of vaccines before coming to Uganda. Please consult your doctor and immunizations office about vaccines, anti-malaria medicine and general health advice while on travel. Note that vaccination for yellow fever is mandatory upon arrival in Uganda.

You can access the medical treatment at the university medical Center (http://www.kyu.ac.ug/index.php/administration/sections/medical-center/introduction) for simple cases at no extra cost. However, all students are encouraged to have an insurance cover to cater for major medical emergencies, we recommend you to use surgery medical Center, all our previous International staff and students got their treatment from this hospital and seem happy with it. www.thesurgeryuganda.org
